Updating to the latest versions is required for all infra providers on Polygon zkEVM. All earlier versions, including Node v0.6.1/v0.5.13, Prover v5.0.6/4.0.19, will be obsolete.

Following the 10-day timelock, the Elderberry upgrade is now live on Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta. Elderberry includes important optimizations to the ROM that will reduce certain out-of-counter errors on the network and some additional fixes to the recent Etrog upgrade.

See the announcement for additional information about the Elderberry upgrade.

Now that Elderberry is live, there are some steps infrastructure devs will need to take to make use of the upgrade. But dApp devs already deployed on the network don’t need to take any action—and everything from the end-user’s perspective will work exactly the same as before.

Here’s what you need to know. If you still have questions, head over to the Polygon Forum, where you’ll find a topic for Elderberry in the announcements section.
